Story-Sharing Projects

Story-sharing projects use in-depth interviews to tell compelling and contemporary stories. Shorter in duration and with more immediate effect than a full oral history project, these projects highlight the impact of a nonprofit on those it serves, the contributions of a business to its industry or community, the significance of an organization to its members, or the perspectives of a group with a shared identity. Clients can use interview material in marketing and fundraising efforts or to develop websites, podcasts, museum exhibits, theatrical performances, and creative and nonfiction writing.

I have shared the stories of boxers with Parkinson’s disease in a virtual web exhibit; written one book based on interviews with women Vietnam veterans and another based on interviews with former residents of a home for “unwed mothers”; and helped adapt the stories of Eat Street restaurateurs into a museum exhibit.

My goal is to help clients share the stories they want to tell with the audience they want to reach. I am especially interested in amplifying the stories of nonprofits, small and women-owned businesses, and individual, collective, and corporate change-makers.
